The studio shown here was made for an artist. She required a studio that matched a neighbouring building in style and size but that had plenty of natural light and provided an inspirational working environment.
The main frame is of oak beams with pine featheredge cladding. Both ends of the studio were fully double glazed with double entrance doors for ease of access.
The picture below shows the internal featuring exposed oak wall and roof beams. To maximise the natural light flow the ceiling was directly under the roof joists and the walls and roof were insulated behind ply and plasterboard sheets.
